My client has been established for over 30 years and has achieved huge year on year growth through the toughest of market conditions, during this time. They now require hungry, graduate calibre trainee recruitment consultants who will be responsible for developing relationships with clients that include marketing services agencies, media owners, not for profit, client side and corporate organisations that are seeking media and marketing & communications talent. The scope of disciplines that you will specialise in ranges from sales to content, technology to design, marketing to research and many others.
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant will you’ll need excellent communication skills and must feel comfortable interacting with any level of client or candidate. A typical day may include cold calling new candidates and clients, advertising jobs online through job boards, Linked In etc, searching internal and external databases to attract new candidates, telephone screening candidates and assessing their suitability for roles that you will be handling. You will also become an ambassador of a fantastic brand and you will be required to promote the identity of the business where possible through networking and whilst developing new business.
To be a successful consultant you don’t have to have any previous recruitment experience but you will need to have previous sales experience with the competencies and desire to exceed expectations and beat your competition.
This is an opportunity that offers a well-structured training program that will include ‘on the job’ training as well as classroom sessions which will allow you to build up an excellent knowledge and appreciation of the market sector in order to become an expert in your chosen field. Due to the meritocratic nature of the recruitment industry you could be managing your own teams of recruitment consultants within a matter of years. You will be a recent graduate, with a minimum 2:1 degree. Ideally you will have upto 2 years previous sales experience in a proactive role or commercial role (non-retail or customer service role), preferably within telesales (b2b, b2c) lettings or direct sales based role.
