It’s 2020 and you’re looking for a new job. You speak to a recruiter to form a great mutually beneficial professional relationship – which will hopefully result in you finding your next, perfect or even dream role.
Whilst you’ve been counselled by your recruiter on the new opportunity and spent hours researching the potential employers via online platforms and presence, they’ve probably done the same for you.
When employers or recruiters receive a CV or before any contact has been made, there’s a high chance they will search the candidate online during their deliberation process. I would advise that the only information available to your potential next boss is that of which you are proud of!
So why give someone a reason to reject you before even meeting you?
In a recent study, it was found that 77% of employers use social media to find candidates and 20% of employers use social media to screen candidates.
Have you ever used social media to reject a candidate before?
